The escape paintings are a series of deconstructed cityscapes and landscapes where everything is in flux. They are a dreamy (or nightmarish) version of a tranquil place of refuge and are based on rhythms and patterns of sound that hum with dissonance. In dreams, people tend to escape to places they feel safe, but often those places are elusive and turn on them quickly. They become more of an ideal that holds them captive.
