ASHEVILLE, NC:  Macey Ley announced today that her artist book I Am Not will be on display at Asheville BookWorks in BookOpolis 2014: Printmade Artist’s Books.

The exhibition features artist’s books made with original handprint processes, including relief, intaglio, letterpress, planographic, stencil, and collography printing methods. One of the goals of the exhibition is to move the printed art object off the wall and into the hands of a user/viewer/reader, creating a different experience of both art object and book object.

Artworks will be on display September 19 – November 30, 2014, with an opening reception on Friday, September 19, 6-9 p.m.

Asheville BookWorks is located at 428 1/2 Haywood Road, West Asheville, NC. Gallery hours are Tue.-Fri. 1-5 p.m. and Sat. 1-4 p.m.
