MACEY LEY SELECTED TO EXHIBIT AT LAGRANGE NATIONAL XXIX BIENNIAL

ATLANTA, GA:  Macey Ley announced today that Snow White has been selected for exhibition at the LaGrange National XXIX Biennial at the LaGrange Art Museum in LaGrange, GA. The exhibition includes paintings, prints, drawings, photography ceramics, sculpture and decorative arts and will be on display February 19 – April 2, 2016, with an awards ceremony and reception on Friday, February 19, 7-9 p.m.

The LaGrange Art Museum is located at 112 Lafayette Parkway, LaGrange, GA 30240. Gallery hours are Tues.-Fri. 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sat. 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Macey Ley to Exhibit in Ley Lines

Down to a ScienceJACKSONVILLE, AL – Macey Ley announced today that two of her sculptural artist books were selected for exhibition in Ley Lines at Jacksonville State University. The exhibition brings together diverse and approaches to drawing practiced by contemporary artists across the United States and includes both traditional works and those that challenge the boundaries of drawing.

Ley’s works For It Might End and Down to a Science will be on display at the Hammond Gallery through the end of October 2015. Both pieces are part of her latest body of work Versions of Truth, a series of sculptural artist books made of clear acrylic panels and thread that addresses double entendres.

Exhibition awards juror Emily Sheehan will give an artist talk October 1, at 3:30 p.m. in the Roundhouse Lecture Hall. A reception will follow in the gallery from 5-7 p.m. The Hammond Gallery is located on the Jacksonville State University campus, 700 Pelham RD N, Jacksonville, AL 36265.
