PORTLAND, OR: Macey Ley’s artist book Snow Blowwas selected for exhibition at the 23 Sandy Gallery BUILT international juried exhibition of book and paper art examining the relationship between contemporary book art practices and architecture, engineering, landscape and construction as form, function and structure.
The exhibition runs April 7 – May 27, 2017 with an opening reception on April 8 from 4-6 p.m. The gallery is located at 623 NE 23rd Avenue, Portland, Oregon.

ATLANTA, GA: Macey Ley’s sculpture The Belt of Orion’s Never Wife is up for bid during the 2016 Hambidge Art Auction + Field Experiment Gala. Co-presented by the Goat Farm Arts Center, the gala will take place on Saturday, April 23. NAGOGDOCHES, TX: Macey Ley’s sculptural artist book Coupled and Inseparable has been selected for exhibition at the Texas National at the Ed & Gwen Cole Art Center sponsored by Stephen F. Austin State University. The Texas National 2016 juror is Abelardo Morell who selected works by artists from 29 states. The exhibition will be on display April 9 – June 11, 2016, with a reception on Saturday, April 9, 6-8 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, AL – Macey Ley announced today that two of her sculptural artist books were selected for exhibition in Ley Linesat Jacksonville State University. The exhibition brings together diverse and approaches to drawing practiced by contemporary artists across the United States and includes both traditional works and those that challenge the boundaries of drawing.
Ley’s works For It Might End and Down to a Science will be on display at the Hammond Gallery through the end of October 2015. Both pieces are part of her latest body of work Versions of Truth, a series of sculptural artist books made of clear acrylic panels and thread that addresses double entendres.
Exhibition awards juror Emily Sheehan will give an artist talk October 1, at 3:30 p.m. in the Roundhouse Lecture Hall. A reception will follow in the gallery from 5-7 p.m. The Hammond Gallery is located on the Jacksonville State University campus, 700 Pelham RD N, Jacksonville, AL 36265.
The Decatur Arts Alliance (DAA) is honoring Macey Ley’s The Belt of Orion’s Never Wifewith first place prize at The Book as Art 3.0: No Jacket Required, a featured exhibition of the AJC-Decatur Book Festival in Decatur, Georgia. The exhibition – showcasing artist books from more than 30 U.S.-based artists – offers new interpretations of the ancient concept of books and questions 21st century book form and format. Jurors include Margot Ecke, Athens, GA; Arlyn Ende, Sewanee, TN; and Jeff Rathermel, Minneapolis, MN.
The AJC Decatur Book Festival is the largest independent book festival in the country. Since it began in 2006, more than 1,000 world-class authors and hundreds of thousands festival-goers have enjoyed book signings, author readings, panel discussions, an interactive children’s area, live music, parades, cooking demonstrations, poetry slams, writing workshops, and more.
The Belt of Orion’s Never Wifeand Snow Glow will be on display at the Art Institute of Atlanta from Friday, July 24, through Friday, September 18. An evening gala reception and keynote address will be held at the Gallery on September 4. The time has yet to be announced.
DENVER, CO: Macey Ley’s artist book Circumstantial Gravity will be on display at Abecedarian Gallery in the exhibition Coptically Bound this autumn. The exhibition features artist’s books that are bound in the Coptic style.
Artworks will be on display September 18 through November 1, 2014, with an opening reception on Friday, September 19, 6-8 p.m.
